Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has released a five-episode series on his Newt’s World podcast laying out a Republican strategy for the 2026 midterms.
House Speaker Mike Johnson has already praised it publicly, calling Gingrich “spot on” and saying “when we stay disciplined and highlight the stark contrast in this election, we WILL win.”
Here’s what’s in each episode.
Episode 1: The Strategy
Gingrich argues 2026 isn’t a referendum on the present, it’s an argument about the future. His guiding principle, borrowed from Margaret Thatcher: “First, you win the argument. Then you win the vote.”
He walks through four historical comebacks, his own 1978 House race, Bush’s 1988 campaign, the 1994 Republican Revolution, and the rise of MAGA, arguing each one won by finding one true, provable contrast and sticking with it for months.
Episode 2: The Case Against the Democratic Party
Gingrich builds a roll call of statements, votes, and spending records he says define today’s Democratic coalition, organized around immigration enforcement, policing, Israel, and institutional reform, along with a look at federal improper-payment and fraud figures he says total roughly $3 trillion since 2003.
Episode 3: Affordability and Iran
Gingrich calls these “the two hardest challenges for Republicans” this cycle. He walks through prescription drug pricing data, arguing prices have fallen every month this year, and lays out his framework for talking about the Iran conflict honestly: “progress, not victory.”
Episode 4: The American Party
This episode focuses on issues Gingrich says poll at 70 percent or higher across party lines, arguing Republicans can position themselves as the party of the American majority.
Episode 5: A Healthier America
The closer of the series tackles health care costs, choice, and life expectancy as a Republican agenda item touching nearly a fifth of the U.S. economy.
